Program Description 

The Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program at Erica Renée Beauty Academy is a comprehensive, hands-on training program designed for individuals who want to master the art and science of cosmetology through real-world experience and structured theory instruction.

This 3,000-hour apprenticeship program blends 700 hours of theory instruction with extensive supervised practical training, allowing apprentices to gain confidence, skill, and professional readiness while working in an active salon environment.

Apprentices receive in-depth education across all core cosmetology disciplines, including haircutting and shaping, shampooing and styling, hair coloring and lightening, chemical texturizing, permanent waving, scalp treatments, skincare, makeup, hair removal, nail services, sanitation, and professional ethics. Training is structured to meet state board rules & regulations while emphasizing safety, precision, and client care.

The program also places strong focus on professional image, salon operations, state laws, and ethical practices, preparing apprentices not only to pass required examinations, but to succeed as skilled, responsible beauty professionals.

Graduates of the Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program leave with a well-rounded foundation in cosmetology, documented practical experience, and the knowledge needed to confidently pursue licensure and long-term career opportunities within the beauty industry.

SHAMPOOING, HAIRDRESSING & STYLING — 510 HOURS

HAIR COLORING & LIGHTENING — 310 HOURS

PERMANENT WAVING — 300 HOURS

SCALP TREATMENTS — 98 HOURS

FACIALS, MAKEUP, ARCHING & ESTHETICS — 105 HOURS

CHARM, RECEPTION, ART & ETHICS / STATE LAWS & BOARD RULES — 100 HOURS

MANICURING & PEDICURING — 180 HOURS

CHEMICAL TEXTURE & RELAXING — 278 HOURS

LABORATORY TRAINING — 100 HOURS

SANITATION & DISINFECTION — 10 HOURS
